Skoda Kushaq facelift – What to expect?
Launched back in 2021, the Kushaq SUV has been struggling with dismal sales figures in India. One primary reason behind it has been its small cabin and premium pricing.
With that said, the new model is likely to offer a new design and better features only, but the dimensions are likely to remain unchanged.
The newly spotted test mule of the Kushaq facelift is seen testing internationally with a camouflage cover at the front and rear end. The new model will likely get a new front fascia, which is expected to be inspired by the new Skoda Kodiaq SUV.
Following Skoda’s “Modern Design” philosophy, the new Kuhsaq will feature a revised front grille, a set of new LED headlamps, and a new bumper design on the front. Similarly, the rear end is likely to get a new set of LED taillights and a revised bumper design.
While the test car does not have the new alloy wheels, we suspect that the facelift production version will get new alloy designs.
Another interesting detail about the test car is the ADAS equipment. The new model will likely feature a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, but we are not sure whether the Indian spec will get it or not.
We are also expecting that the new model will get a refreshed cabin, possibly featuring a bigger infotainment screen and more advanced features.
Mechanically, the new model will remain unchanged. The launch timeline for the Kushaq facelift is expected by the end of this year or early next year.
Our verdict
Skoda has been actively working towards bringing new products to the Indian market. The launch of the Kylaq SUV has recently changed the image of the brand. The company now wants to take advantage of Kylaq’s success by updating its existing lineup.
