Toyota is currently developing the first mid-life facelift of the Innova Hycross MPV. The recent spy shots of the upcoming MPV have surfaced online, showing its interior design. The new Innova Hycross facelift is expected to be launched later next year.
Toyota Innova Hycross facelift: What to expect?
As seen in the spy images, the interior of the Hycross facelift test mule looks identical to the current model. However, the infotainment screen has been covered, which indicates that the new model will feature a bigger screen with an updated UI.
The exterior of this particular test mule was completely camouflaged. However, the new set of LED headlights is partially visible. We can also spot the new front bumper, a redesigned front grille, and new LED fog lights that are hidden beneath the camouflage.
On the styling front, we believe that the Innova Hycross facelift will get updated LED lights, a new fascia, and new alloy wheels. Although the test mule spotted has the same set of alloy wheels as the current version, these are likely to be changed on the final production model.
Since the car is still in its initial stage of development, we cannot state for sure that these will be the final changes. But one thing we are sure about is its engine specifications, which we believe will not be changed. The updated Innova Hycross facelift is likely to offer the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a CVT gearbox, and the 2.0-litre strong hybrid self-charging engine with an e-CVT gearbox.
Another area where we are likely to see improvement will be the ADAS safety suite. Toyota could possibly add more passive safety features like the pedestrian safety assist, etc, to make the facelifted model safer than before.
With that said, the new Innova Hycross facelift is likely to be launched by the end of next year. It is likely to become expensive with the addition of the new changes.
