Tata Avinya EV series coming next year
As confirmed by Sailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, in a recent media interaction, the brand is all set to reveal the production iteration of its first-ever premium EV from the Avinya series.
Tata has been repeatedly showcasing the Avinya premium EV crossover at the Auto Expo annually in India. The brand has been working on an all-new range of premium EVs, which will compete with the big brands like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.
Based on the JLR’s EMA platform, the Avinya series cars will be offered in various body styles, including two-row coupe SUVs to full-fledged three-row SUVs. These models will focus on luxury, technology, and premium appeal, which is likely to change the brand image of Tata in the near future.
Meanwhile, Tata will invest a capital of Rs 16,000-18,000 crore in FY2025-26 to strengthen the EV portfolio, increase the charging infrastructure, and support the ecosystem.
