Tata Harrier EV Fearless variant to get QWD soon?
Tata’s latest electric SUV, the Harrier EV, is offered with the QWD or all-wheel drive option on its top-spec Empowered variant. Surprisingly, the brand has received more than 20% of the Harrier EV sales from the QWD variant itself. Hence, after consideration, the brand has subtly announced that a new, more affordable, lower-spec variant will soon get the QWD technology.
While the top official of Tata did not confirm which variants will get the QWD or when, we suspect it is a matter of time before the Fearless variant, which happens to be the most value-for-money variant of the Harrier EV, gets the QWD in the coming months.
Speaking of the current Empowered QWD variant, it is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh, and it is powered by the bigger 75 kWh battery pack that offers a combined output of 313 bhp and 540 Nm, with an ARAI-claimed range of up to 622 km.
We suspect that the lower variants will get the QWD option only for the long-range battery option. More details are likely to be revealed in the coming months.
