Tata Xpres launched with petrol and CNG engines – Rs 5.59 lakh price

Tata Xpres Petrol & CNG

The Xpres sedan is essentially a rebadged Tigor, which has been crafted as per the taxi market requirements. Earlier, Tata was selling its EV version called Xpres-T EV, while the new variants now include the choice of a petrol and a CNG option.

The Xpres petrol is available for Rs 5.59 lakh, while the CNG Xpres is priced at Rs 6.59 lakh, both ex-showroom. The design and interior features of both iterations are similar to the Xpres-T EV. The major difference is the powertrain itself.

As these variants are aimed at the taxi market, Tata is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, which can be extended up to 5 years or 1,80,000 km.

Tata Xpres Petrol & CNG

The petrol version of the Xpres is powered by the Tigor-sourced 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that offers 86 bhp and 113 Nm of power and torque. It is paired with a 5-speed transmission. Meanwhile, the CNG iteration also gets powered by a 1.2-litre CNG engine with a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, the Xpres ICE versions are loaded with central locking, air conditioning and heater, front power windows, power steering, and a digital instrument cluster.
