In order to increase its customer base in India, Tesla has introduced a bigger battery pack for the Model Y LR RWD variant. Check what has changed below.

Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD new battery details
As listed on the official website of the brand, the Model Y Long Range RWD variant is now equipped with an 84.2 kWh battery pack. Moreover, the maximum range on offer is now extended to 661 km on full charge.
Comparing the new stats with the previous ones, there is a notable increase of 5.2 kWh in battery size, while the range has been extended by 39 km. All this has been changed without any additional cost. The new battery uses the latest LG cells that improve battery life and performance.
Apart from the battery and range, the Model Y Long Range RWD remains unchanged. It still offers the same performance, where it can sprint 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 201 km/h.
Model Y is currently the only model on offer by Tesla India. Although the brand is eyeing to expand its lineup in India in the future with the other models like the Model 3.
