Toyota Innova Crysta to be replaced by Hycross Hybrid?

Toyota had been planning to phase out the Innova Crysta for a long time. In fact, the brand did stop production earlier, but decided to continue due to the high demand among fleet operators.

However, the stricter CAFE norms are soon going to lead Toyota to discontinue it. The Innova Crysta will be phased out by March 2027 in India, the brand has recently revealed.

Moreover, the MPV monopoly of the Innova Crysta is likely to be replaced by the Innova Hycross Hybrid models, as the brand plans to push its sales. Moreover, the new CAFE norms will benefit the hybrid models with their ‘super credit’ rule, which will likely make the Hycross Hybrid more suited for the fleet operators.

The current-gen Innova Crysta is offered with a 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine that offers 148 bhp and 343 Nm. It has an RWD setup and comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
