Triumph Motorcycles India has rolled out a hefty INR 1 lakh discount on the Daytona 660, giving the middleweight supersport a sudden boost in value. This offer is valid for a limited period, and dealerships have already confirmed strong interest from riders who were sitting on the fence. With the discount applied, the Daytona 660 becomes one of the most accessible fully-faired triples in the market.
The Daytona 660 arrived earlier this year as the spiritual successor to Triumph’s legendary Daytona 675, but with a more approachable personality. It uses a 660 cc inline-triple engine that delivers 95 PS and 69 Nm. The motor has a wide spread of torque, which makes the bike friendly in traffic and eager on open roads. The 6-speed gearbox comes with a slip-and-assist clutch, and buyers can opt for a quickshifter.
Triumph has positioned the Daytona 660 as a practical sportbike rather than a track-only screamer. You get a comfortable riding triangle, a fairing designed more for everyday aerodynamics than extreme aggression, and a 17-litre fuel tank for longer rides. Suspension duties are handled by Showa, with 41 mm SFF-BP forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking comes from dual 310 mm discs with radially-mounted calipers. The bike also packs riding modes, traction control and a TFT display with smartphone pairing.
The INR 1 lakh cut brings the effective on-road price down by a noticeable margin, placing the Daytona 660 closer to rivals like the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Honda CBR650R and even the Yezdi-Roadster-meets-supersport crowd who want an upgrade. The triple-cylinder charm alone already gave it a unique identity in the segment. With this discount, Triumph has essentially removed the last major barrier for many buyers: the price.
