TVS Motor Company has officially revised the prices of its entire commuter lineup following the GST 2.0 update. The new tax structure, which reduces GST on two-wheelers under 350cc from 28% to 18%, has led to price cuts ranging from INR 2,095 to INR 7,875 across scooters and motorcycles.
The updated prices are already live at dealerships and apply to base variants. TVS has confirmed that it is passing on the full benefit to customers, making its commuter range more accessible ahead of the festive season.
Model-wise price drop
Here’s a breakdown of the revised ex-showroom prices and GST benefits:
Why this matters
The GST revision is a game-changer for the commuter segment. With fuel prices still high and urban mobility needs growing, affordable two-wheelers are more relevant than ever. TVS, with its wide portfolio of reliable and fuel-efficient models, is well-positioned to benefit from this shift.
The timing couldn’t be better. With Navratri and Diwali around the corner, buyers now have more reason to upgrade or switch to a new ride without stretching their budget.
Our thoughts
For everyday riders, the Star City and Sport suddenly appear to be great deals. What about the Raider? Still one of the trendiest commuters available, but now more reasonably priced.
In my opinion, this action will cause a stir in the entry-level market. This is your cue if you’ve been putting off making a buy. I might even call it a Diwali miracle if TVS tosses in a free helmet or festive money.
