TVS Motor has recently announced that its Raider 125 has crossed the 16 lakh global sales milestone within 4 years of launch. Read below what makes it popular in India.

TVS Raider 125: Why is it popular?
The Raider 125 was introduced in 2021 as a funky and modern commuter bike that came equipped with modern features like LED lights, dual-tone colours, a digital console, and more. Additionally, the introductory price tag of under Rs 90,000 was a helpful booster to its sales.
The Raider 125 immediately grabbed the attention of buyers looking for a 125cc commuter bike. Before it, the options were limited to the old and outdated bikes like the Honda Shine 125 and the Hero Glamour 125. The touch of modern appeal was appreciated by customers.
Coming forward to August 2025, the Raider 125 has now completed 16 lakh global sales, out of which the Indian market sold 13.5 lakh units, while 2.45 lakh units were exported to the international markets.
However, since the introduction of the Hero Xtreme 125R, the Raider 125 has been facing stiff competition. In fact, the sales volume has also dipped for the Raider 125. The strength of the Raider 125 is its comfort and family-use-oriented design. Meanwhile, the 125cc engine offers decent power and mileage, while the latest features like Bluetooth connectivity are helpful in making every day commutes easy.
