Jetour T2 Hybrid SUV: What do we know so far?
The upcoming T2 plug-in hybrid SUV was once again spied near Pune at a restaurant. The test car was seen covered to hide the interior and exterior details.
JSW Group has confirmed that it is working on a hybrid SUV, which is likely to be the Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid, and it will be introduced as the brand’s first car with mild changes, including badge engineering.
Sold overseas, the T2 is a hit SUV in certain markets like the Middle East. It comes packed with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is combined with a 26.7 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors. It offers AWD and comes equipped with a 3-speed direct hybrid transmission.
With that said, the T2 offers a pure electric range of up to 139 km (NEDC cycle), while it can deliver more than 1,000 km on a single tank of fuel. JSW is likely to introduce the T2 in India by Diwali 2026, and the online reports hint that it could be priced around Rs 40 lakh.
In terms of exterior design, it features a boxy outlook, and it is based on a monocoque chassis. It gets neo-retro design elements like the round LED headlights, flared wheel arches, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
On the inside, the T2 packs a comfortable cabin layout with leather upholstery, a big infotainment screen, and features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS safety suite, drive modes, terrain modes, and more.
