Kia has teased the official images of the upcoming EV2 electric crossover ahead of its global reveal set to take place at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9, 2026. Check out its details below.

Kia EV2: Everything we know so far
Kia showcased the EV2 concept earlier this year in the global market. The concept car attracts a lot of attention as the EV2 is destined to step into the competitive electric crossover segment globally. Now, the teaser images have been released, faintly showing the new design of the EV.
Speaking of the design, the EV2 will wear a boxy silhouette with clean panels and chiselled styling. However, the teaser images showcase its vertical LED lights at the front and rear, which look inspired by the Kia EV9 and the EV3. This design language is Kia’s latest adaptation, which we recently saw on the 2027 Telluride SUV as well.
As far as the technical details are concerned, it is suspected to be based on the Hyundai-sourced E-GMP 400V platform. The EV2 will belong to the crossover segment, hence its length is expected to remain under 4.1 meters.
Meanwhile, the battery and powertrain are likely to be sourced from the Kia EV3, which is offered with a 58.3 kWh battery pack with a front-axle electric motor, offering a maximum range of up to 410 km. Further details will be unveiled in the coming days as the global reveal timeline approaches.
However, Kia will not introduce the EV2 in India, at least for now. The EV2 is primarily destined for the European market, and if it is destined for India, we believe it will not launch anytime before the end of 2027.
