New Simple Energy electric scooter details

The latest design patent of an unnamed scooter by Simple shows that the brand is working on expanding its portfolio towards the affordable EV spectrum. Lately, this approach has been undertaken by every other electric two-wheeler manufacturer to boost sales.

Speaking of the details, the upcoming EV has a rather conventional design with less dramatic and curvy body panels. The front has a twin-pod headlight design embedded in the apron, while the handlebar cowl has a plain, curvy design without any lights.

Other visible details include a large single seat and spacious legroom for the rider. It does get the alloy wheels, but the front wheel does not seem to have a disc brake, which again solidifies the idea of this being an affordable EV.

With that said, we believe Simple is likely to position it below the One scooter. However, it might carry over the same battery pack options, but the performance will be reduced for high economy. Moreover, it will have fewer features compared to the One scooter.

As of now, there are no details available regarding the name, launch, range, etc, for this scooter.
