Yamaha WR155 R: What to expect?
As seen in the latest spy shots, the WR155 R is seen in a showroom-ready avatar. The spied unit is draped in the Yamaha Racing Blue colour and features the typical adventure-cum-commuter bike stance.
The WR155R has been a popular bike in the South Asian markets. It features a long travel suspension, a high-raised beak, and minimal body panels with knobby tyres. Its lightweight and peppy engine makes it an everyday adventure bike.
With its conventional design, the WR155 R has a lot to offer. It is powered by the R15-sourced 155cc, liquid-cooled, VVA engine that offers 16 bhp and 14.3 Nm of power and torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Other key highlights include an upright exhaust underneath the seat, 880 mm seat height, and an 8.1-litre fuel tank. In terms of features, it gets an LED headlight, an LCD console, a dual-channel ABS, and VVA technology.
The brand will launch the WR155 R and the SXR155 in India on November 11. Considering its rivals are the Kawasaki KLX230 and the Hero Xpulse 210, it will be priced around Rs 2 lakh.
