Vespa Officina 8 complete details
The new Officina 8 scooter gets its name from the company’s experimental workshop in Italy. Vespa established the first experimental workshop in 1944 in Piaggio’s plant in Pontedera, which served as the birthplace of Vespa’s initial design revolution, including the development of the handle-mounted gearshift lever, two-stroke engine, a step-through steel frame, direct-drive transmission, and more.
The Officina 8 is draped in a Matte Metallic Blue Officina 8 colour, which is inspired by the tools, mechanic outfits, and machinery used in the experimental workshop. It is available at a starting price of Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), and the company will sell it only at select dealerships in this single colour. Customers also get a colour-matching half-face helmet with the purchase of the scooter.
Piaggio has also introduced select accessories that can be opted for at an additional cost. These include the top box luggage carrier, T-shirts, key chains, windbreakers, backpacks, and more. Additionally, the buyers will get a welcome kit along with the scooter, which extensively covers the experimental workshop and the owner’s manual.
The new Officina 8 is available with the 125cc and 150cc engine options, which offer a similar power and performance output as their standard counterparts.
