While it has been only a few months since VinFast entered the Indian market, the Vietnamese brand has announced its further plan of expanding in the cut-throat e-scooter market. Check out what VinFast’s plans for India are below.

VinFast electric scooters coming soon – What to expect?
VinFast has announced that it is working on six different electric scooters for the Indian market. The brand has an internal target to launch the first two products by the third quarter of this year. These scooters will target to offer 140 km range.
As per the brand, there are currently six models under development, and all of these are being crafted by studying the Indian electric scooter user needs, riding style, maintenance costs, and the harsh, extreme weather conditions. VinFast will be heavily localising these upcoming e-scooters, and these will be made to offer great value for their price.
Speaking of the details, these electric scooters are likely to use swappable batteries. To offer user friendliness and freedom of swapping batteries, VinFast is in talks with HPCL to build battery swapping stations nationwide.
In addition to the battery swapping, VinFast also has an ambitious target of manufacturing 150,000 scooters annually. A major portion of this number will also get exported, and all of this will happen with the help of the local vendors and affordable tech.
Moreover, VinFast will be producing these scooters at its Tamil Nadu-based facility. To achieve the two-wheeler production from a car manufacturing plant, the brand is establishing a separate production line.
