What to expect from the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron R Line?
The new Tayron R Line will become the latest flagship model of Volkswagen in India after launch. It will be brought via the CKD route, which means that it will still be priced at a premium, which could be around Rs 40-45 lakh.
Speaking of its platform, it is based on the latest MQB EVO architecture, which is known for its chassis balance and handling characteristics worldwide. The Tayron uses an identical signature design language as the Tiguan R Line, as it gets a connected LED light setup on both ends, illuminated VW logos, dual-tone sporty alloy wheels, a closed front fascia, and a sleek bodyline.
On the inside, this 7-seater SUV features a subtle design language, with a massive 15-inch floating touchscreen on the dashboard, ambient lights, a digital console, a three-spoke steering wheel, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and features like wireless charging, electric seats with memory and ventilation functions, voice command controls, an electric tailgate, and more.
On the safety front, the Tayron comes loaded with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 201 bhp and 320 Nm of power and torque. This engine is paired with an all-wheel drive configuration and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
