Yamaha R3 and MT-03 new GST price
The automotive sector of India has recently undergone a massive reform of reduced GST rates for motorcycles and cars. While the bikes above 350cc became expensive, the motorcycles and scooters below this mark have seen a significant decrease in prices.
Following the footsteps of other manufacturers, Yamaha India has announced the reduced rates for the R3 and MT-03 bikes. Both motorcycles have now become cheaper by Rs 20,000 each. The new prices of both bikes are as follows:
Yamaha R3 – Rs 3,39,028
Yamaha MT-03 – Rs 3,29,608
Mind you, Yamaha imports the R3 and MT-03 in India and sells them as CBU or Completely Built Units. The launch price of this duo was earlier above Rs 4 lakh, which was later reduced by Yamaha.
However, the new GST cut has brought down the pricing into a more competitive state, where these bikes will enjoy the upper hand of parallel-twin engine performance, while competing with single-cylinder rivals like KTM.
Speaking of the engine specifications, both bikes are powered by a 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 42 PS of power and 29.5 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper-assist clutch.
