Hyundai Motor India is turning up the heat in the compact SUV segment with the launch of the all-new Hyundai Venue. This isn’t just a facelift, it’s a performance refresh aimed at drivers who want more than just a daily commuter. With new powertrain options, drive modes, and a sharper focus on engagement, the Venue is ready to play on every kind of road.
Set to debut on November 4, the new Venue is already up for grabs with bookings open at INR 25,000. Hyundai is calling it a new era of compact SUV performance.
Powertrain options
The all-new Venue offers three engine choices:
- 1.2L MPi Petrol: A smooth, no-nonsense option for city dwellers. Paired with a 5-speed manual, it’s built for efficiency and ease.
- 1.0L Turbo GDi Petrol: The fun one. With 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, it’s available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. It also gets idle stop and go (ISG) tech for better fuel savings.
- 1.5L CRDi Diesel: The torque king. Now available with a 6-speed automatic for the first time, alongside the manual. It delivers 116 PS and a healthy 250 Nm of torque.
Whether you’re crawling through traffic or chasing sunsets on the highway, there’s a Venue for your vibe.
Drive Modes, Traction Control, and Paddle Shifters
Hyundai has added drive modes, i.e. Eco, Normal, and Sport, so you can tailor the car’s behavior to your mood. But it doesn’t stop there. The Venue also gets traction control modes for sand, mud, and snow. That’s right, this little SUV is ready to get its tyres dirty.
And for those who like to stay in control, paddle shifters are now part of the package. Flick through gears like a pro, even in traffic. It’s a small touch, but it adds a lot to the driving experience.
Our thoughts
The new Venue is the kind of SUV that makes you want to take the long way home. The diesel auto is a smart move, the turbo petrol still brings the fun, and the drive modes could actually make a difference.Â
