What to expect from the 2026 Ducati Hypermotard V2?
As seen in the latest spy shots, a new Hypermotard V2 debut looks just around the corner. The updated MY26 model was seen in Europe recently with the updated looks and a new mechanical setup.
By looking closely at the spy shots, one can spot the new, sleek LED headlight and the reworked body panels, which are giving it a sleek, supermoto-style outlook. Although it does retain its charm with a short tail and an undertail exhaust system.
While the details are yet to be determined regarding its mechanical setup, the biggest visible change seen is the double-sided swingarm, which is going to replace the single-sided swingarm of the current model.
Moreover, the new bike is expected to be considerably lighter than the current version, which itself is known for its lightweight. The updated model will likely offer a weight reduction of up to 15 kg or so with the new lightweight components.
However, powering it will be the same 890cc, V-twin engine that offers 120 bhp and gets paired to a 6-speed transmission. We suspect that it will get a new six-axis IMU, which shall offer new features like wheelie control, cornering ABS, engine braking control, and a new 5-inch TFT console to operate these functions.
The new Hypermotard V2 is expected to debut at the EICMA 2025 next month.
