KTM has updated its smallest Duke for the 2026 model year. The KTM 125 Duke has been launched in the UK, bringing fresh styling and equipment to the entry point of KTM’s streetfighter range.
The 125 Duke is aimed at younger riders in Europe, where the 125 cc category is particularly important. It also gives KTM a way to offer the Duke experience without stepping into the larger and more expensive models.
Sharper Duke styling
The 2026 motorcycle gets a more aggressive design that brings it closer to KTM’s latest generation of larger Duke models. The exposed trellis frame, compact proportions and sharp bodywork continue to give the 125 Duke the unmistakable KTM look.
The bike also retains its LED lighting, digital instrument cluster and streetfighter-style ergonomics. It is a relatively small motorcycle, but KTM clearly hasn’t tried to make it look like one.
The chassis continues to use a steel trellis frame, with WP suspension at both ends. A monoshock handles suspension duties at the rear, while braking hardware includes disc brakes with ABS.
Powetrain
Power comes from the familiar 125 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It uses a four-valve head and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
KTM’s 125 cc engine is designed around the European A1 licence category, which limits motorcycles to 11 kW (15 PS). The lightweight nature of the Duke should also make it fairly easy to handle for new riders.
The 125 Duke has traditionally been one of KTM’s more accessible motorcycles, but it still gets the same basic recipe as its bigger siblings: an aggressive riding position, sharp steering and a lightweight chassis.
India launch remains unlikely
There is no word yet on an India launch for the updated 125 Duke. That isn’t particularly surprising. KTM’s India range starts at the 125 Duke’s larger sibling, the 160/200cc class, while the 125 cc Duke was discontinued earlier this year.
