What are the changes on the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift?
The recent spotting of the upcoming Scorpio N facelift has revealed interesting details regarding the changes on the updated model. Spotted closely in a parking lot, the top-spec test mule was seen equipped with a new front grille that has horizontal slats. Moreover, the bumper design looks familiar, but it is expected to feature a revised shape on the production-spec model.
The twin-pod projector headlamps are also unaltered on the test car, but we suspect that Mahindra will offer a set of updated lights on the production-spec model. The side profile is nearly unchanged, save for the new 5-spoke alloy wheel design. Although the size of the tyres remains unchanged, i.e. R18 with 255 profile.
Another interesting update is on the inside. While the test mule bears the current model’s steering and cabin layout, it is fitted with a floating 10.2-inch infotainment screen, which is likely to be carried over from Thar Roxx. Additionally, the AC vents below the screen have been redesigned with a sleeker profile, and the switches underneath get silver accents.
We suspect that the production-spec model, which is estimated to be launched around the festive season later this year, will bear a new steering wheel and a new cabin layout. It is also expected to offer more features and an expanded set of ADAS safety features.
Mechanically, the Scorpio N facelift will continue to offer the current engine options as it is. These include the 2.2-litre m-Hawk turbo diesel and the 2.0-litre turbo petrol, both available with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.
The expected launch price of the Scorpio N facelift will be slightly higher than the current model due to the new features and improvements.
