2026 Toyota Glanza facelift teased, launch on October 14

Key highlights

  • Toyota Glanza facelift teased
  • Likely to get minor cosmetic and feature upgrades
  • New 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine could be introduced

Toyota has released the first official teaser of the new Glanza facelift. The updated model is scheduled to launch in India on October 14 with minor design changes, new features, and probably new petrol and CNG engines.

Toyota Glanza facelift: What to expect

The official teaser shows the front fascia elements of the new Glanza, which include a redesigned front grille that is shown partially, the Toyota logo, and red exterior paint that features brushed aluminium highlights.

Since Glanza is a rebadged version of the Maruti Baleno, we can safely say that the Glanza facelift will also follow a similar path of updates that the Baleno facelift introduced. These are most likely to include a new front grille, redesigned LED headlights, and a new front bumper. However, unlike Maruti, Toyota could also update the alloy wheels to give it a more refreshing appeal.

On the inside, most of the cabin will retain the current car’s design. However, we can expect a new, bigger central infotainment screen and new features like a wireless charging pad, front ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, etc. Toyota could also change the cabin theme with new trim colours to give it a more appealing look.

The biggest change that we are expecting is going to be under the bonnet. Similar to the Maruti Baleno, the new Glanza facelift is likely to bid adieu to its current 1.2-litre K12C four-cylinder petrol engine. This powertrain will be replaced by the new 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine, similar to the Baleno.

Additionally, the Glanza CNG will also get the new three-cylinder engine similar to the new Baleno. However, following Maruti, Toyota could offer the CNG+AMT gearbox combination for the first time to lure buyers.

The new Glanza facelift is due for a launch on October 14, and it could command a slight premium over the current model.
