2026 Mahindra Bolero – What to expect?
As seen in the spy shots, the upcoming Bolero has grown in size from every angle. Its design seems to be inspired by the Land Rover Defender or the Jetour T2 SUV.
The new-gen Bolero is going to be bigger and better in every manner. It will be based on a new NFA (New Flexible Architecture), which is going to be a monocoque chassis.
The new platform will allow various drivetrains, including the hybrid, electric, and all-wheel drive setups. However, it is currently unclear whether the new-gen Bolero will get an electric offering or not.
What we know so far is that it will get a powerful engine setup, which will likely use the hybrid technology for improved efficiency.
Meanwhile, the test car shows a completely new design with a big glass area and a higher and wider stance. The ORVMs are redesigned and placed more towards the outer side, hence giving it pure gangster SUV vibes.
While the cabin details are unknown yet, we can safely assume that it will feature new seats, a new dashboard with a layout inspired by the Scorpio N and the new Thar Roxx models.
Mahindra has scheduled the global debut of the Bolero for August 15, 2025. It is likely to launch either by late 2025 or early 2026.
Our verdict
The Bolero SUV has been a pivot product for Mahindra in India. It has been a superhit SUV in the tier-2 and tier-3 rural market, due to its rugged and durable design and engine. Moreover, its RWD setup helps in sailing over the off-road patches easily. We hope that the new-gen Bolero will be able to carry forward the same stature.
