With the unveiling of the new iOS 26, Apple has not just enabled users to enjoy the new updates on their phones, but also in the car. The Apple CarPlay has also been redesigned, along with the new features. Check out all the details below.

Apple CarPlay iOS 26 update details
The first update that the new CarPlay has received with iOS 26 is the addition of more clearer layout and graphics. The new CarPlay now supports the Liquid Glass display, which further adds design flamboyancy to the app icons, background, and widgets.
The second big update is the introduction of a smaller call bar. Earlier, whenever users picked up/dialled a number, the whole screen used to be filled with the caller bar. However, the update has resolved it, and a new caller bar will appear on the screen footer during an ongoing call. This will make using other apps like navigation easier.
Additionally, users will now be able to respond to the texts quickly. A new quick tab has been introduced that features quick emojis, which users can press and send instant replies to any text.
Moreover, users will now be able to go through their live activities while using maps and other apps. This way, users will be able to keep an eye on their live activities while simultaneously using other applications. Also, widgets will now be offered as standard to all users, unlike previously, where these were limited to the CarPlay Ultra users.
For the new 2025 Aston Martin owners, CarPlay Ultra will be offered as standard. By using it, users will be able to access the full breadth of screens for using features like navigation, and more.
