Yamaha XSR 155: What to expect?
The latest spy shots of the XSR 155 test mule hint at a possible launch in the near future. The XSR 155 is a neo-retro bike based on the R15 V4 that is on sale in select markets. It is widely popular for its funky design and retro appeal, all packed in a potent packaging.
Speaking of the details, the test bike has a similar design to that seen on the international-spec model. The neo-retro appeal is retained through the round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single seat, and an upright riding posture.
In terms of features, it is equipped with LED lights, a round digital instrument console with Bluetooth compatibility, and a dual-channel ABS. Meanwhile, on the hardware front, it gets USD forks, 17-inch alloys, dual disc brakes, and a monoshock rear suspension.
The XSR 155 is based on the same platform as the R15 V4. Hence, it will offer the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.1 bhp and 14.2 Nm of power and torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission and slipper-assist clutch.
The expected launch timeline of the XSR 155 is November 2025, around the Diwali festival. Online rumours hint at November 11 as the official launch date.
