The upcoming Countryman JCW or John Cooper Works will follow the sport design and tech upgrades, which are a known trait of the JCW-spec cars. The released teaser shows the petrol-powered Countryman drifting, showing its mechanical capabilities.

Speaking of the known details, it will be the only ICE-powered Countryman upon launch. As of now, Countryman JCW is available only in an all-electric version, and that too is limited to 20 units.

Visually, the JCW version will offer a sporty body kit and cosmetic changes like the new front grille with the chequered Mini flag, side skirts, front bumper lip, red accents and a dual-tone colour scheme. At the rear, it will likely get a sporty bumper and chrome exhaust tips.

On the inside, the changes will be limited to the visual enhancement, which shall take place by the addition of the JCW badges on the new sporty seats, aluminium pedals, red leather stitching, and a JCW logo in the infotainment system.

Powering the Countryman JCW will be a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that is expected to offer 300 bhp and 400 Nm of power and torque. It will be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. It will be able to do 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

The expected launch price of the Countryman JCW is Rs 70 lakh.
