Suzuki Jimny 3-Door gets ADAS
The latest inclusion of the Level 2 ADAS in the 3-Door Jimny has made it better than ever. However, this update is for the Japanese car market exclusively, which might be extended further to the other international markets.
The reason behind Suzuki equipping the Jimny off-roader with ADAS is the new safety norms of Japan. The government has mandated every carmaker to equip their cars with the ADAS safety features, which is set to increase road safety.
However, apart from the Level 2 ADAS, the nimble, little, and potent Jimny remains unaltered. Earlier this year, Suzuki also updated the Jimny Nomade, aka Jimny 5-Door, with ADAS in Japan. Mind you, the Jimny Sierra is manufactured and exported from India to Japan, and it is a popular SUV overseas.
The 3-Door Jimny is powered by the same 1.5-litre K15B engine that also powers the 5-Door version. It is sold with the options of a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed AT gearbox globally.
