2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Every change explained
The Grand Cherokee has been falling behind in the sales and update race as its competitors like BMW and Mercedes are already offering a generation ahead of features. Jeep’s latest response to its rivals and customer needs is the MY26 Grand Cherokee, which looks sleeker and sharper than before.
On the outside, it gets a set of new LED headlights, a revised front bumper, and a new seven-slot front grille. Moreover, the alloy wheels have been updated with a sporty design, replacing the boring design of the outgoing ones. At the rear, it features a sleek and sharp LED taillight setup and a new bumper.
The cabin has also been updated with the addition of a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch passenger screen. It gets a new cabin theme with premium leather upholstery. The list of features includes the 19-speaker McIntosh sound system, Level 2 ADAS safety, Active Driving Assist, and more.
However, the biggest update is found underneath the bonnet, where it uses a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Hurricane turbo petrol engine. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system. Stellantis claims that it can cover up to 814 km on a single tank and offers 324 bhp and 450 Nm.
The new model will go into production by late 2025, and it will be available in the US market in early 2026. We are expecting Stellantis to debut it in India by third quarter of 2026.
