Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the official Indian launch date of the e Vitara electric SUV as December 2. Read every known detail about it below.

The e Vitara was first revealed earlier this year. While it was scheduled to debut by March 2025 in India, its launch got pushed for months due to the lack of battery parts and rare earth minerals.
The e Vitara will now debut on December 2 in India. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric and the Mahindra BE 6 EVs. We assume that it will be priced around Rs 22-27 lakh.
Powering the e Vitara is an all-new platform that will be offered with three powertrain options. Internationally, the e Vitara is sold with the following specification options:
- 49 kWh 2WD offering 144 bhp and 344 km range
- 61 kWh 2WD offering 174 bhp and 428 km
- 61 kWh AWD offering 184 bhp and 394 km
While the international markets get a maximum range of 428 km, the Indian-spec car will get a bigger FWD battery that is likely to offer more than 500 km range.
The e Vitara features a crossover design with butch panels and a rugged body kit that has cladding all over the car. The LED lights and the dual-tone alloy wheels look fantastic and give it a conventional SUV appeal.
On the inside, it features a premium cabin design with high-quality materials and leather upholstery. It also gets the latest features like a connected screen panel, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and level 2 ADAS safety.
