The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition has arrived. This is the world’s first production SUV that carries a full-blown Formula E theme, and Mahindra isn’t shy about calling it a celebration of India’s rising motorsport fandom.
What does it get?
The new edition is available in two variants. The FE2 is priced at INR 23.69 lakh, while the FE3 sits at INR 24.49 lakh. Bookings open on January 14, 2026, and deliveries kick off exactly a month later. Mahindra is sweetening the deal for early adopters. The first 999 buyers get a bundle of exclusive gifts, including a track-day session with racer Kush Maini. Three extremely lucky folks even get a fully hosted trip to the London E-Prix.
Exterior
Mahindra says the BE 6 was already bold, but the Formula E Edition dials up the attitude. The exterior gets a reworked front bumper with circular projectors, bright motorsport-style accents, a fixed glass roof with signature stripes, R20 alloys, orange brake calipers, and a generous spread of Formula E graphics. The SUV wears its theme proudly, almost like a team car for race weekends.
Interior
Things get even more dramatic inside. The cabin wears a Firestorm Orange theme that makes the interior pop the moment you open the door. Orange seatbelt loops, orange accents on the steering and switches, translucent door inserts, and Formula E logos everywhere set the tone. Even the start-stop button gets a race car–style flap. The experience feels intentionally theatrical.
Powertrain
But the BE 6 Formula E Edition isn’t relying only on aesthetics. Under the skin, it uses Mahindra’s 79 kWh battery and a motor that makes 282 bhp. The claimed 0–100 time is 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is 202 kmph. Real-world range sits at around 500 km, which gives this SUV meaningful long-distance capability. The FE3 variant adds intelligent adaptive suspension and sportier R20 wheels for buyers who want sharper road manners.
Features
The tech pack stays familiar to existing BE 6 owners. Twin 12.3-inch displays, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio, Dolby Atmos, 5G connectivity, a Snapdragon 8155 chipset, and wireless smartphone integration make it a very modern space. Mahindra has even built Formula E–inspired external sound profiles, so the SUV announces its sporty intentions before you even see it.
Mahindra has also signed racer Kush Maini as the face of its “Electric Origin” lineup. The Bengaluru-born driver is fresh off global racing success and represents the youth-focused, motorsport-first identity the company wants to build. He is expected to play a big role in the brand’s events and Formula E crossover experiences.
To top it off, Mahindra also announced the BE 6 Formula E Ride-On for kids. Priced at INR 18,000, it’s a fun little tribute to the full-sized SUV and a charming way to reel in the next generation of electric enthusiasts.
