Maruti displayed the e Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. The EV made its global debut at the expo, and later it was launched in Europe. In fact, the first batch of 6,000 units, which have been manufactured at the Gujarat-based facility, has been delivered to customers.

While the brand was planning to launch the e Vitara in India by March 2025, it was due to the rare earth minerals crisis that the Indian launch date kept on pushed. However, after sorting the supply chain issues, the brand has now finalised December 2, 2025, as the final date for the e Vitara’s launch in India.
