VinFast is evaluating the current e-scooter market in India and is considering launching its models in 2026, as confirmed by the brand. Read the complete details below.

VinFast electric scooters coming soon – What to expect?
In a recent media interaction, VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau confirmed that the brand is interested in the Indian electric two-wheeler market and sees a lot of potential for its model range. Additionally, he confirmed that the Vietnamese EV brand will introduce its electric scooters in India next year.
The electric scooters like the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak have proven that the e-scooter market in India has the potential to grow further. Hence, new EV manufacturers are trying their best to enter the competition and garner profits.
VinFast sells popular e-scooters like Evo, Karla, Feliz, and Vero in the South Asian markets like Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, and sees a bright future for these scooters in India. VinFast also showcased the e-scooters at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 while marking its India debut earlier this year.
The brand is currently gathering feedback from the market and is in the talking terms with new dealerships to launch the two-wheeler range. In fact, the majority of the current VinFast dealers have shown their interest in selling the two-wheelers as well.
With that said, if the e-scooters are launched, VinFast will produce them locally. Moreover, VinFast plans to launch electric buses as well in the future. However, the buses will land via the CKD route only.
