Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Tour Edition complete details
As its name suggests, the Tiger Sport 800 Tour Edition has been specifically created for buyers looking for a fully-loaded touring version of the middle-weight ADV bike. It has a plethora of accessories that make it comfortable for long hours of riding.
To begin with, it gets the long touring windscreen with adjustability for wind blast area, a touring-specific comfortable seat for the rider and pillion, a centre stand for easy parking and lubing/cleaning the chain, hand guards to protect from the flying gravel from other vehicles, and heated grips for a pleasant winter riding experience.
Since it is a touring edition, it gets plenty of luggage-carrying capacity. There is a massive 49-litre top box and two body coloured 57-litre panniers that help in carrying as much luggage and tools as the rider wants. The top box also gets twin backrest pads for the pillion. In case you are concerned about the tyres, there is a TPMS add-on as standard now.
Visually, Triumph has given the Tour Edition two new colours: Matt Cobalt and Carnival Red. The bike remains powered by the tried and tested 800cc inline-three power mill that makes 113 bhp. It gets paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. Buyers can opt for a bi-directional quickshifter for easy touring.
In terms of electronics, the bike remains unchanged. It continues to offer the TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, traction control modes, cornering ABS, and three ride modes – Rain, Sport, and Road. The lighting is a complete LED setup as well.
Talking of the pricing, the Tiger Sport 800 Tour Edition is priced at £12,895 (approximately Rs 15.37 lakh). The existing buyers can also upgrade their bikes with these touring accessories.
