The VIDA DIRT.E K3 is here. A bike you would have wanted as a kid

Key highlights

  • VIDA launches the DIRT.E K3, an electric size-adaptive off-road motorcycle for kids aged 4 to 10
  • Three-stage adjustable frame, app-controlled safety features and removable battery
  • Introductory price set at INR 69,990 for the first 300 units, with deliveries from January 15, 2026

VIDA, Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand, has stepped into the off-road world with a product that feels purpose-built for the next generation of riders. The new DIRT.E K3 is an electric motorcycle designed for children aged 4 to 10, and it takes the idea of a beginner bike far more seriously than anything the segment has seen so far. Instead of being just another small EV on two wheels, the K3 actually grows with the child, thanks to its three-stage adjustable frame that moves between Small, Medium and Large formats with a single tool. No more outgrowing a bike in one summer.

Electric power

The bike keeps things friendly yet authentic, offering a proper off-road stance that helps kids build real riding habits early. The electric motor produces 350W of continuous power (500W peak) and delivers smooth, predictable acceleration. The removable 360Wh battery charges in about three hours and offers roughly the same amount of riding time depending on terrain and mode. It also gets a magnetic, weatherproof connector for charging.

Parents will love the tech

The bike gets app-based controls to set speed limits, lock riding modes and track use. There are three modes, Beginner (8 km/h), Amateur (16 km/h) and Pro (25 km/h) so kids can move up as their skills improve. A hydraulic rear disc brake, 16-inch spoked wheels, a child-scaled brake lever and a magnetic kill-switch lanyard make the package safe and intuitive. Everything is built to take rough use too, with an over-moulded wiring harness, impact-absorbing parts and proper sealing.

Award winning design and tech

Developed between Hero’s German Tech Centre and its R&D facility in Jaipur, and produced at the VIDA line in Tirupati, the DIRT.E K3 arrives with serious engineering behind it. It has already earned the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and a CES 2026 Innovation Award, which tells you Hero wasn’t treating this as a side project.

VIDA has opened Expressions of Interest on its website, with the first 300 units priced at INR 69,990. It will be available in Red, Purple and White, with retail starting January 15, 2026 across Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur and Calicut.
