Mini Cooper S Convertible sold out within 24 hours
The latest Cooper S Convertible was launched on December 12 in India at a price of Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom) as a CBU model. Within a few days of its introduction, Mini has now announced that the first batch of the Cooper S Convertible was sold out within the first 24 hours.
The latest iteration of the Mini brings new design changes, which include new LED lights, reworked bumpers, new alloys, and a retractable fabric rooftop that can fold in 18 seconds and unfold in 15 seconds. The roof can be operated up to 30 km/h, and it also gets a ‘Sunroof Mode’, which partially retracts the sunroof for air and light flow.
Powering the Cooper S Convertible is a 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine that offers 201 bhp and 300 Nm of peak power and torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, and it can sprint 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The top speed of the new convertible Mini is 237 km/h.
