Ducati Desmo450 MX: Everything you need to know

The Desmo450 MX is Ducati’s first-ever motocross bike to debut in India. It is based on the MXGP race bike that features an ultra-lightweight chassis and offers a strong mix of power and dirt bike experience.

The minimalist, dirt-bike-inspired design of the Desmo450 MX is complemented by the 9 kg twin-spar aluminium frame. The bike is suspended on 49 mm front Showa shocks and a rear monoshock, offering complete adjustability to rebound and compression.

Meanwhile, it gets powered by the 449.6cc engine that offers 63.5 bhp of peak power, redlining at 11,900 rpm. It is the least capacity engine that features the trademark Desmodromic valve system, as it gets paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Ducati has also kitted it with a host of electronics suite, including the six-axis IMU with features like engine brake control, wheelie control, traction control, power launch, bi-directional quickshifter, etc.

Ducati will reveal its official prices in Q1 of 2026. Upon launch, the Desmo450 MX will rival the Kawasaki KLX450R in India, which is also a proven motorcycle in the segment.
