VinFast sales gaining momentum, new MG rival in the making

When VinFast was introduced in India four months ago, the brand was hit with an immediate shortage of dealerships and a consistent decline in recorded revenue globally. However, it seems that the future is bright for the Vietnamese carmaker as it has sold 1,000 EVs within the first four months in India.

Interestingly, 830 units out of the 1,000 were sold in three months since launch, while the rest 200 units have been sold within January 2026. This clearly states that the brand is off to a positive start for this year in India, and the future is certainly bright as new EVs are planned to launch soon.

The brand has been testing the Limo Green MPV, which is expected to be launched in the first quarter of this year. It will compete with the Kia Carens Clavis EV, and it will be offered in various seating layouts as well.

As of now, the brand sells the VF6 and VF7 crossover SUVs in India. However, the price tag of both EVs have been recently hiked by a massive Rs 1.30 lakh.
