Renault India has finally unveiled the new-gen Duster SUV. This is the second time that the Duster nameplate will be offered in India. Read all its details below.

2026 Renault Duster: Everything you need to know
Design and dimensions
The new-gen Duster carries the latest design language of the brand, and it is identical to the third-gen global-spec model. However, Renault has made a few changes to make it more practical and appealing for the Indian customers.
The exterior design features the sharp LED DRLs and LED headlights, which are accompanied by the gloss black front grille that bears ‘Duster’ lettering and does not have a Renault logo. The front fascia also has a big protruding silver finish with pixel fog lights embedded on the lower side of the bumper.
Overall, it features a rugged body cladding, gets 18-inch black alloy wheels, and functional roof rails with a 50 kg payload capacity. The rear design features the Y-shaped LED connected taillights with the Renault logo, a roof-integrated spoiler, Duster lettering on the boot, and a rugged bumper design with silver accents.
In terms of dimensions, the new-gen Duster measures as follows:

- Height – 1,659 mm

- Ground clearance – 212 mm
Interiors and features of the new-gen Duster
On the inside, the new-gen Duster gets a black cabin theme with soft-touch leather on the door pads and dashboard. The dashboard features a driver-centric design with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The front seats get electric adjustment with ventilation. Meanwhile, the centre console has a sliding tray cover for the cubby holes and a diamond-shaped e-Shifter gearshift lever. The centre armrest is slide-adjustable, while the steering wheel features a double-D cut design with physical buttons for media and ADAS features.
In terms of comfort and convenience features, the new-gen Duster gets the following suite of gadgets:

- Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents
- Fast charging USB Type-C charging ports with a wireless charging pad

With smart cabin design and space management, Renault has managed to churn out 518 litres of boot space from the new-gen Duster. It has also been crash tested by GNCAP and offers a 5-star rating.
Engine specifications of the Indian-spec new Duster
Powering the Indian-spec Duster are three engine options. For the lower variants, there is the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is sourced from Kiger. It offers 100 bhp power and 160 Nm of torque, and gets a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
The second, and most powerful engine option, is the 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol that makes 163 bhp and 280 Nm of power and torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed wet DCT automatic gearbox option.
Renault will also offer the new-gen Duster with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol-hybrid engine. This engine produces 109 bhp on petrol, while it gets paired to a 1.4 kWh battery-powered 49 bhp electric motor and a 20 bhp hybrid start generator (HSG). The combined power output of this engine is 160 bhp and 172 Nm. It is paired to an 8-speed Dht gearbox. This engine will be introduced by Diwali 2026.
Launch date, price, availability of the new-gen Duster in India
Renault has started accepting pre-bookings for the new-gen Duster in India at Rs 21,000. The complete variant and price list will be revealed in March 2026, and the deliveries will begin by April 2026. The 1.8-litre Hybrid Duster will be available by Diwali 2026.
The Duster will be offered with a warranty of 7 years/150,000 km.
