What to expect from the Mahindra Vision S SUV?
As leaked in the latest spy shots, the test mule of the Vision S SUV was seen equipped with the near-production interior design. The upcoming SUV is based on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform, and it features an interior and exterior design inspired by the Land Rover Defender.
The first-ever spy shots of the cabin showcase its vertical upright dashboard design, which is similar to what Mahindra showcased on the Vision S concept model. The dashboard has the new vertical air-conditioning vents and a waterfall design for the centre console.
Other visible details in the interior spy shots include the black cabin theme, five-seater layout with split rear seats with an integrated central armrest, a three-spoke steering wheel identical to the current-gen Scorpio N, and a semi-digital instrument cluster with MID in the centre.
Even the exterior design of the Vision S production-spec will carry elements that resemble the Defender SUV. For example, it will get the clamshell-type bonnet, flared wheel arches, a rectangular front grille, round LED projector headlights, and a steeply raked front windshield.
Powering the Vision S SUV will be an array of engine options, including turbo diesel and turbo petrol. The production version is likely to be launched in India next year. It will be positioned alongside the Scorpio N facelift, which is also in the making.
