Jeep India announces new SUV – Is it the Renegade?
The Indian subsidiary of Jeep recently announced its future roadmap for the domestic market under the nameplate of Strategic Plan 2.0. As per the details, the American carmaker is not giving up on the Indian market easily. The brand has announced that it will launch an all-new SUV next year, which will be the first new model launch in the past five years in India.
Additionally, the brand has revealed that it will continuously keep updating its portfolio with new special editions and new feature revisions in the existing lineup. Moreover, the carmaker will focus on enhancing the after-sales experience by introducing the pre-maintenance, extended warranty, and premium owner loyalty programmes.
Meanwhile, Jeep will increase the domestic localisation to 90% from the existing 65-70%. The SUV maker will also start exporting the vehicles from India to the South African and North American car markets, which makes it the first for the brand outside the US-based production facilities. However, the details regarding this upcoming SUV are unknown. We suspect that Jeep could introduce the Renegade, which serves as a popular model in the global market.
