Mercedes-Benz recalls 149 cars in India due to ADAS issue

The latest recall from Mercedes in India has been announced to rectify an ADAS-related issue. Three different models have been identified with the potential issue with the autonomous safety system. Read more details below.

Latest Mercedes-Benz recall details

As per the official details, Mercedes India has recalled 149 units of the C 63 S E Performance, CLE 53 AMG Coupe, and CLE Cabriolet. The issue identified with the affected units is related to the malfunction of the ADAS features.

The company says that in certain cases, the emergency stop assist feature can malfunction. With that said, the lane keep assist feature that automatically intervenes when the driver is not holding the steering wheel after a certain time, can also malfunction and not alert or slow down the car.

With the problem identified on certain units, Mercedes has announced that these cars were manufactured between 2 September 2024 and 18 March 2025. The brand dealerships have started contacting the current owners of the affected cars, and the fix will be carried out free of cost. However, the brand did not reveal the fix procedure for this recall.
