BYD India has introduced the First Anniversary Edition of the BYD Sealion 7, marking one year of the electric SUV in India. Bookings are now open across the country, with a token amount of INR 70,000.
Exclusive interior and limited benefits
The biggest visual change comes inside the cabin. The First Anniversary Edition introduces a new Tahiti Blue interior theme, which gives the cabin a fresher and more premium feel. It complements the SUV’s ocean-inspired design language rather well.
More importantly, BYD is offering exclusive ownership benefits for the first 1100 customers. These include two years of free service and maintenance, along with a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation. That alone removes a big chunk of the initial EV setup cost.
The company has also upgraded the low voltage battery to an LFP unit with an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty, which is higher than the standard coverage. The high voltage battery continues with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
Performance and tech remain unchanged
Mechanically, the First Anniversary Edition remains identical to the standard Sealion 7. It continues to use an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and is offered in Premium and Performance variants.
The Performance variant accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds, while the Premium variant does the same in 6.7 seconds. Range figures stand at 542 km for the Performance version and 567 km for the Premium variant, based on NEDC testing.
The SUV also packs serious tech. It uses BYD’s Cell-to-Body construction and iTAC system, which improve structural rigidity and driving dynamics. Inside, you get a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, Nappa leather seats, 128-colour ambient lighting and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system.
Features like ventilated seats, wireless charging and vehicle-to-load capability add to the everyday usability.
Pricing and positioning
The Sealion 7 continues to sit in the premium electric SUV segment with the following prices:
• Premium variant priced at INR 49.40 lakh
• Performance variant priced at INR 54.90 lakh
Bookings for this edition will remain open until April 30, 2026, or until the first 1100 units are sold.
