What to expect from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift?
The Ioniq 5 has been long overdue for an update in India. However, Hyundai is working on bringing its facelifted model to the domestic market soon, as the latest spy shots of the facelifted model have surfaced online.
The camouflaged test car appears to be bigger in size than the current Ioniq 5. Moreover, the visible change includes the new alloy wheels, which are likely to improve its efficiency and performance.
Since it is available in certain international markets, we can safely assume the Ioniq 5 facelift to feature a redesigned front and rear with new LED lights, a new Hyundai logo, and new bumpers. Additionally, the interior layout is also likely to undergo a thorough upgrade.
The international spec gets the dual 12.3-inchs screen display, electric lumbar support adjustment, an augmented reality HUD unit, electric tailgate, wireless charging, paddle shifters for regen mode switch, and more.
Hyundai is also likely to upgrade its battery size from 72.6 kWh to 84 kWh. The latter is used on the new Kia EV6, and it produces 315 bhp and 605 Nm. It will be offered with an AWD as standard, and the claimed range is likely to be around 510 km.
With that said, the new Ioniq 5 is likely to be launched in the coming months in India. It will be priced above the current Rs 36.37 lakh price tag.
