Bajaj Avenger Street 220: Everything we know so far
The upcoming Avenger Street 220 is going to replace the outgoing Avenger Street 160. The latter has been discontinued, while the former is now listed on the company’s official website.
The Avenger cruiser model has been present for a long time in India. It is loved by customers for its low-rider styling and a comfortable riding posture on the highways. However, the new 220cc model will do justice to its highway ergonomics with more power and performance.
The 220cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled motor makes 19 bhp and 17.6 Nm. This powerplant is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, thus offering a punchy mid-range performance, which is apt for highway riding.
In terms of styling, the Street 220 variant will offer blacked-out mechanical parts, matte black alloy wheels, and new colour options. Features like the LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, etc, will be offered as they are.
Since the Avenger Crusie 220 is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), we believe that the Street variant will be positioned below this price.
