What to expect from the upcoming Kia Syros EV?
The upcoming Syros EV has been undergoing development for quite some time now. It will be based on the K1 platform, and it is likely to feature minor distinctive design features from the ICE version, including the new bumpers, new alloys, and repositioned LED lights.
The latest online reports claim that the Syros EV will be introduced in India by August 2026. Upon launch, it will become the most affordable electric car of the brand in India. It is likely to share its battery specifications with the Hyundai Inster EV.
The Syros EV is likely to be offered with a standard and a long-range battery pack. Since these could be sourced from the Hyundai Inster, the latter offers a 42 kWh and a 49 kWh battery option in the global market. We assume the same would be offered in India.
With the launch of the Syros EV, Kia will take on the rivals like the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
