The new Burgman 150 scooter has been launched in Colombia with a substantially different design and features as compared with its 125cc sibling sold in India. The Burgman 150 packs a flamboyant styling with a wide and large front apron that holds the stretched-out vertical turn signals, while housing an oval LED headlight.

There is a short black windscreen at the top of the front apron, which covers the TFT console behind it. Speaking of the TFT screen, it offers a coloured digital display with features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, keyless ignition, dual-channel ABS, and switchable traction control system.

The Burgman 150 is not just big, but it continues to offer the roomy ergonomics for the rider and the pillion. It has a spacious, comfortable, sloping single seat, while the footboard area offers generous space for the rider.

Powering the Burgman 150 is a new 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. This engine offers 14.2 bhp and 14.2 Nm of power and torque. While these figures are not segment-topper, the air-cooled engine and lower compression means it will be more reliable and abuse-friendly than the liquid-cooled rivals.

In terms of the hardware, it features the 14-inch alloy wheels, 8 litres of fuel tank, 25 litres of underseat storage space, and a USB charging slot as well. With all these attractive features and a powerful engine, it is a shame that Suzuki has not planned to launch the Burgman in India, especially after the 150cc+ market is growing rapidly with the rivals like the Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155, and the TVS Ntorq 160.
