A latest test mule of the Honda Elevate has been recently spotted on the road with full camouflage. This test mule is suspected to be the facelift of the Elevate, and the partial glimpse of the reworked LED taillight graphics further clarifies this possibility.
Speaking of the current model, the Elevate SUV has not been able to fetch a lot of customers. Although a reliable and good car, the Elevate brings nothing special that its rivals don’t offer. Hence, a facelifted model could resolve this issue to an extent.
What we expect from the Elevate facelift is that it will get the reworked bumpers, a new grille, updated LED lights, and possibly new colour options, including dual-tone shades. Meanwhile, the cabin could get similar updates as the City facelift, which includes a new infotainment screen, wireless charging, front ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and updated ADAS safety features.
The current model is powered by the same 1.5-litre i-Vtec petrol engine as the City facelift. We suspect that it will be offered as it is on the Elevate facelift. This engine is paired to a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox option. However, certain online reports hint that Honda could bring its e:HEV strong hybrid powertrain on the Elevate facelift.
If so, it would prove to be a boon for Honda India operations, as the Elevate has everything required to become a top-selling car, but it lacks on the powertrain variety. With the addition of a strong hybrid motor, the Elevate will be easily able to fecth buyers who opt for Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder for the hybrid engine.
The updated Elevate facelift could be introduced by early 2027.
