The Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition is here

Key highlights

  • Aprilia India has launched the 2026 Tuono 457 Special Edition at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), Rs 2,000 more than the standard variant.
  • Two colour schemes are on offer: Mamba Black and Puma Grey, both inspired by the iconic 2006 Aprilia Tuono 1000R.
  • Key changes include a smoked flyscreen, taller handlebar, adjustable front brake lever, revised suspension, and improved seat foam.

Aprilia launched the Tuono 457 Special Edition on World Motorcycle Day. The Special Edition costs Rs 3.99 lakh, just Rs 2,000 more than the standard Tuono 457.

This is not a mechanical overhaul. The 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine is unchanged, producing 47.6 hp at the crank and 43.5 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. What Aprilia has done is everything around it, the ergonomics, the comfort package, the aesthetics, and the warranty.

What is new

The two colour schemes, Mamba Black and Puma Grey, are the most visible change. Both draw directly from the 2006 Tuono 1000R, one of the most celebrated naked motorcycles in Aprilia’s history. The graphics are sharper and the brand logo has been redesigned to go with them.

Beyond the looks, there are four practical upgrades that matter more on the road.

A new smoked flyscreen, made from high-impact material, cuts wind blast at highway speeds and reduces rider fatigue. The handlebar has been raised for a more upright, relaxed riding posture, taking strain off the wrists, shoulders, and lower back during city and highway riding. The front brake lever is now adjustable for reach, making it more accessible for riders with smaller hands. The suspension has been retuned with a softer initial stroke to better absorb bumps and potholes, and the seat now uses higher-resilience foam for better support on longer rides.

Specs and Features

The electronics package remains strong. Ride-by-wire throttle, three riding modes, three traction control settings, dual-channel ABS, a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth, and full LED lighting are all standard. An immobiliser is fitted as standard too.

Optional accessories include a bidirectional quickshifter, TPMS, USB charging socket, electronic anti-theft system, fork sliders, passenger seat cover, and a shorter mudguard.
