- 2027 Triumph Speed 400 gets a new colour option
- Racing Red mixed with Pewter Grey separated by Phantom Black stripe
- Global availability from August 2026, Indian availability not confirmed
The latest update for the Speed 400 comes in the form of a new dual-tone colour addition. This new paint shade is a mix of Racing Red and Pewter Grey on the fuel tank, which are separated by a Phantom Black stripe and complemented by the Triumph logo also painted in the Phantom Black shade.
Now, mind you that this colour update is for the global-spec Speed 400, which uses the 399cc liquid-cooled engine. Not long ago, the Indian market saw a massive change in the 400 nameplate, where the brand detuned the 399cc engine to 349cc so that it could benefit from the GST 2.0 tax slabs.
Triumph has announced that this colour will be available alongside the Pearl White Metallic and Phantom Black paint options. Triumph will also offer the Phantom Black and Storm Grey paint options. Meanwhile, this new colour could or could not be introduced in India on the 350cc Speed 400.
Will it come to India?
We need to remember that this paint option upgrade is a market-specific update, and it might have been done to lure more customers. Triumph will sell the updated dual-tone colour option in the UK and European market initially.
The global-spec Speed 400 is powered by the 399cc engine that makes 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of power and torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and it gets a slipper clutch as standard. Key features of the global Speed 400 include the LED lights, a semi-digital instrument console with an LCD unit, traction modes, and Bluetooth connectivity for SMS and call alerts.
